St. Philip's Annual Dinner was held on 21.02 .01 at 10 Miles Community Hall. Ticket was sold at RM200 per table. Total number of 70 tables have been sold.

The dinner was officiated by YB Dr. James Dawos.

The purpose of this dinner is to raise fund for the chapel consecration. We were very fortunate because Y.B Dr. James Dawos granted us RM10 000 from his MRP and of course we also collected at about RM 7000 from the sales of tables, button holes, sponsored singing and love gift. It has been decided that the dinner will be organized every year. From the money the committee able to purchased church furniture like lectern, pulpit, baptismal pond and to repair our old chapel. 

The old chapel is now being use for multi-purpose hall.    

Chapel Consecration

The Chapel consecration was held on 3rd of July 2001 at 2.00 pm by The Lord Bishop Rt. Revd. Made Katib. In conjunction with this precious event, The Lord Bishop also did the confirmation to 159 Anglican as under the jurisdiction of St. James Parish, Quop. At about 300 people attended this event. Dinner was served to everybody after the events finished at about 5.00 pm that day.

The following morning on the 4th July 2001, The Lord Bishop Rt. Revd. Made Katib had a Holy Communion Service at our Chapel. The service started at 8.00 am and finished at 10.00 am.   

Choir Dinner

St. Philip Choir had organized a successful fund raising dinner at Hunco Restaurant on 3rd August 2001. A total number of 46 tables was sold. The objective of this dinner is to raise fund for the choir to purchase new uniform. The dinner was officiated by Assistant Bishop Rt. Revd. Bolly Lapok. Also present was The Very Revd. Aries Sumping, The Dean Of St. Thomas Cathedral, Kuching.
